9.5 weeks to go..... - Tuesday, 20 May 2008
I ended up working until last Friday (16/5/08). I think it ended up being 6 weeks in total. It completely took all my energy though. I think it was the travelling to and from work more than actually being at work. The being there bit was easy and fun. On my last day, some of the girls got me a leaving pressie for bubs - tiny little outfits and a little rattle and some chocolate for me! Yum! My boss also organised a little goodbye and gave me a yellow elephant that plays music and a soft white blanket! How spoilt!! I totally didn't expect anything. Now I'm home and LOVING it. Feeling much more rested and able to get housie things done! It's been a struggle to do anything over the last month because I've just been too damn tired.Tim and I did a huge Ikea trip on Saturday and got loads for Beans room. It is actually starting to look like a nursery now! So very exciting.I hit the 30 week mark on Friday and in my books they have started to talk about the labour and different drugs you can use. I started to freak out a bit. Things are never going to be the same again. Tim and I had a chat last night. He's feeling a bit down at the moment and not feeling as connected as he would like to the baby. I'm not sure how to help. I guess I can just reassure him and be here for him.We start our ante natal classes tonight which will be good. Then next week we start hypnobirthing. Busy busy! I'm still doing yoga once a week also, which is nice. What else.... yes, did my gestational diabetes test 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back which is great. (They said they would call if there was a problem).Next OB appointment is tomorrow.Thursday I have the Soiree - which is a concert that my little piano students are involved in at Hampton Primary. I hope it's not a late night.Ninny is back in her own house and getting about very well. Much faster than she was before and with no pain which is great. The cats have learnt to put themselves to bed and don't bother us at night any more! GOOD GIRLS!!We're having a bit of a baby shower on Sunday. Just really a 'gathering' for afternoon tea. I'm going to make some mini cupcakes and some nibblies and have tea/coffee/juices etc.Anyway - off to hang out washing and do food shopping.
